How to fix corrupted save game data on ps3

Press and hold the power button again for about 10 seconds, at which point you'll hear a series of three beeps. After the third beep, let go of the button and then repeat the process; this time the third beep will be a double beep, at which point releasing the button will start up the PS3 in Safe Mode. The "Restore File System" option in the Safe Mode menu is the tool for scanning and repairing corrupted data. This option scans all areas of the drive not allocated for firmware storage. When you select this option, it may take a few minutes to complete.

Now I have to perform full reformat after homebrew configs like managunz, webman mod messed up my console. Last edited: May 2, I think that your console is pretty messed up. I'm also having same problem as well but what's more worse when running games with managunz after webman mod installed not from ps3hen aio package will eventually reboot into HDD reformat mode!

And if i try to play Modern warfare 2 it works perfectly but not Gta 5 please i need help. Use managunz it's works perfectly. SuikoKid2 posted PStrife 5 years ago 6. The next few questions i have that i am going to ask may be hard to understand but i will ask them the best way i can.

If you're playing a save file of a PS3 game on the PS3, that obviously means its not corrupted then right? Cause if a save file is corrupted there is no way to access it and play it ever again right? If a save file is corrupt there is nothing you can then more do with it or about it except delete it?

Is it possible to play a PS3 save file of a PS3 game when the file is still corrupted or gets corrupted or is in corruption? Can a save file still be messed up or anything like that if while you're playing it? By messed up i mean really bad and not working and functioning right and well like it should. By messed up i mean really bad and not working and functioning right and well like it should I'll try to sum up everything in one response, ok?

Theoretically, there are only two moments where your save file may go corrupt: 1- When loading the file very unlikely to happen, never seem it happen before with me, but it could in theory 2- When you are saving writting stuff to your save file Mostly, a save file will go corrupt while you are loading again, very unlikely or saving data and your PS3 turns off for whatever reason.

Outside of these situations, never had anything going corrupt for me. You can also have game save files corrupt on you if it happens to be written in a bad section of your HDD but if your HDD is going bad, you'll most likely have lots of stuff going corrupt , if the game has an issue writting data I recall vanilla Arkham City having this problem and if your turn your system off abruptely like pulling the power chord.

Once a save file is corrupt, there's nothing you can do about it, you can't recover it. You can just erase the corrupt data and then start over. If your data is going corrupt frequently, check if you are turning your PS3 off while your game is still auto-saving. If that is not the case, maybe there are some bad sections in your HDD. Formatting could help, if the disk is not physically damaged or you could run a HDD verification that is always prompeted when you turn your system off abruptely.

So, a save file may never go corrupt while you are playing it, mostly it's when saving only.
